We left Denver on October 11th and headed out to Moab to start our Utah trip.
It was tough leaving Sam and Emma after having a month in Denver, but it was time for us to go.
After 6 hours of driving, we made it.

Arches National Park
Arches National Park is located in Moab, Utah.
The rock formations and arches are amazing to see.

Frankie imitating the landscape.
After spending the day in Moab, we headed off to Lake Powell.
Lake Powell
The drive from Moab, Utah to Lake Powell, Arizona has some of the most fantastic landscapes you will ever see.
When we left Moab it was 60 degrees outside.
Within the first hour, we were driving through a snowstorm.
Driving south on Route 191 is a desolate drive, to say the least. It’s a two-lane highway that gives you the feeling you are driving through Mars.
The only thing we saw for two hours of driving was a mule on the edge of the highway…but it was so unexpected that we missed the photo.
Lake Powell is located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and is a perfect location if you want to make day trips to other national parks.

Horseshoe Bend
If this place looks familiar, it’s because Horshoe Bend is the cover of our blog.
Located in Page, Arizona, Horseshoe Bend is a popular location.
Stay tuned for our Zion Park and Bryce Canyon trip updates.
Date of Trip – October 11th – October 14th, 2021
